Welcome to our latest blog post, contributed by the team at Moss Design. We were truly fortunate to have Meghan De Maria and Courtney Yanni join us at our recent office meeting, where they captivated us with tales of their recent trip to the enchanting city of Paris. As experts in luxury & colorful design, Meghan and Courtney shared invaluable insights into their approach to crafting exceptional experiences for their esteemed clientele.

"We had the incredible experience of traveling to Paris last month to visit Deco Off and Maison &  Objet to preview new collections from an international cadre of fabric and furniture houses. While
we are not believers in following trends, as we feel your home should reflect your personal style and life experiences, we did notice many interesting themes in design that piqued our interest.

● Rich, warm browns and golden hues are making a comeback.

● Jewel tones continue to flourish, now in even more interesting colors like citron and
amethyst.

● Curves were plentiful from sofas to coffee tables but were even more pronounced this
season and quiet luxury continues to evolve with highly textured fabrics like shearling,
soft wools and alpaca.

● Flourishes like embroidery tapes and tassels were abundant, used in both traditional and
modern applications.

● Outdoor fabrics continue to evolve and make great strides offering a softer hand and a
greater variety in pattern choices.

● Murals, always in vogue in Europe, are becoming hugely popular Stateside as digital
printing is making them more affordable.

Europe has been sustainably aware for quite a while now, and we were glad to see that
sustainable design has taken a step forward with up-cycled lines, such as wallcoverings made
from magazines.

● Animal prints in new and different designs were seen on fabric, furniture and walls.

Overall, we were happy to see a return to decoration with luxe layers, colors, and patterns. We are
known for our bold and aspirational approach distinguished by our color confidence, thoughtful
space design, and highly personalized curation. We like to encourage our clients to step outside
of their comfort zones, stay away from sameness, one-dimensionality and being “safe” all while
feeling completely at ease and comfortable in their own homes."
