Harriet Haffner
Harriet Haffner is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Connecticut and has been awarded the designation of REALTOR Emeritus®, a title reserved for professionals who have held membership in the National Association of REALTORS® for a period of 40 years or more.
"Harriet's association with the firm further broadens our reach across Fairfield County," according to Riverside officials. "Her extensive knowledge of the marketplace, and her service-oriented dedication make her a welcome addition to the team."
Prior to joining The Riverside Realty Group, Haffner was a senior associate at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage for ten years following their acquisition of Haffner Realty, her extremely successful and well-respected Norwalk-based real estate company, which she founded in 1965. Norwalk proclaimed February 25, 1999 as "Harriet Haffner Day" to honor her years of commitment to the real estate industry, her many professional accomplishments and her service to the community.
Over the years, Haffner has mentored and instructed hundreds of students, teaching real estate for the University of Connecticut, Norwalk Community College and the University of Bridgeport. Among the most widely-respected agents in the region, she has served as the President of the System 1 Network, the Mid-Fairfield County Association of Realtors and the Women's Council of REALTORS® for the State of Connecticut for four years. She is equally proud of her work in the community, which includes serving on the founding board of directors for the Norwalk Emergency Shelter and numerous committees for the Chamber of Commerce and the Human Services Council.
Ms. Haffner resides in Norwalk with her husband, Nelson Hethrington. Her daughters, Debra Haffner, a community minister for the Unitarian Church in Westport, and Jodi Wallace, owner of a marketing services firm, reside in Fairfield County. She enjoys the company of her four grandchildren, playing golf and spending time with her dog, Maddy.
